1999-2010 Lunar Gilded 1oz Silver 12 Coin Set
The Australian Lunar silver coin series I dated 1999-2010 is inspired by the ancient Chinese Lunar Calendar, which assigns one of 12 Animals to each year. This set of twelve coins are encapsulated and cased, each coin is 1oz of pure silver and gilded. The final three coins have two dates; Rat 2008/2007, Ox 2009/2007 and Tiger 2010/2007.
The coins reverse includes the year date and depicts a traditional Chinese animal for that year. The Ian Rank-Broadley effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and the monetary denomination of 1 DOLLAR are shown on the obverse. The set of 12 coins are beatifully presented in a timber jarrah presentation case.
