$1 2018 Armistice Centenary 1oz Silver Proof
At 11am on 11th November 1918, the guns on the Western Front fell silent as an Armistice came into effect bringing an end to the First World War. In 2018 the Royal Australian Mint commemorates the Armistice Centenary with this evocative coin stunningly presented in 1oz 99.9% silver.
The reverse design depicts three poppies above a bullet cartridge motif. Each .999 silver proof coin is housed encapsulated in a black, hinged-lid presentation case, accompanied by a numbered certificate of authenticity and protected in a themed cardboard shipper. Mint records indicate that the issue limit of 7,500 proofs was not reached with the mintage declared at 5,482 individual coins.
