A century ago, in April 1922, a group of women convened a meeting at the Sydney Royal Agricultural Show and founded an organisation to represent NSW rural women and their families - the Country Women's Association. By 1936, the CWA had spread to all states and a century on, it remains Australia's largest women's organisation with 44,000 members across 1855 branches.
To celebrate the centenary, the Royal Australian Mint have struck an aluminium bronze dollar and a selectively gold plated 1/2oz silver proof dollar.
