1966-2000 50c Australian Commemorative Coin Collection

Since if was first issued in 1966, the distinctive 50c coin has re-minded Australians of important national events. The 1966 round 50c was the only decimal coin for circulation struck in silver. The Royal Australian Mint proceeded to release its first commemorative 12-sided 50c coin from 1970. A further ten commemorative 50c coins were issued from 1977 to 2000.
