1966 Mint Set V.I.P Presentation Wallet
A total of 520 mint sets dated 1966 each issued in a dark blue wallet with a gold printed 'Australian Coat of Arms, Australian Decimal Coins 14th February, 1966', were presented as a gift to dignitaries at the launch of Australia's decimal currency. These particular sets are known as V.I.P presentation sets. One of the scarcer of the many types of mint set issued in 1966, the set contains six coins issued by the Royal Australian Mint, Canberra. Because these sets were all unsealed from the mint, they all contain toned/tarnished coins.
