2008 World Youth Day World Money Fair 2 Coin Set
This two coin set was released by the Perth Mint at the World Money Fair held in Berlin in February, 2008. The issue limit of 2,008 was not reached with the mintage declared at 1,416 pairs. The one ounce $1 pure silver proof coin and al-bronze $1 uncirculated was released to celebrate the World Youth Day event held in Sydney between 15th and 20th July 2008 with His Holiness Pope Benedict XVI. The reverse design depicts a coloured image of the Pope along with the official WYDSYD08 logo.
