2016 Mint Set - 'Legends' Ballot Issue

This set was issued by the Royal Australian Mint exclusively as a part of it's 'Legends' programme. The six specimen brilliant uncirculated coins in the set are:

• Five Cents - Echidna,
• Ten Cents - Lyrebird,
• Twenty Cents - Platypus,
• Fifty Cents - Dodecagonal Coat of Arms,
• Dollar - Australia's First Mints - 'C' Mintmark
• Two Dollars - Aboriginal Elder.
  

Collectors registered with the Royal Australian Mint's 'Legends' loyalty program were given the opportunity in late 2016 to enter a ballot for the limited issue of 1,200 packs. The ballot closed on 14 December and was drawn the following day. The Australian issue price was $15, plus $10 postage and handling. The packs were issued to successful ballot entrants on 9 January 2017.

The coins are housed in individual unsealed 'slots' on a see-both-sides card, protected in a plastic sleeve.
