20c 2011 Royal Australian Mint Roll Volunteers

Struck for general circulation the coin was also available from the Royal Australian Mint in mint rolls of 20 coins. 

This coin was issued to celebrate the 10th Anniversary of the United Nations declaration of 2001 as the International Year of Volunteers. The reverse design features an outer ring of volunteers with joined outstretched hands with the official UN International Year of Volunteers logo in the center.

Through a General Assembly Resolution the United Nations called for nations around the world to recognise the 10th anniversary encouraging people to recognise and promote the values of volunteering and help build and reinforce volunteering networks.
