Australia Remembers - Coo-ee March 1915
On the 10th October 1915 26 young men left their hometown of Gilgandra - near Dubbo NSW in a recruiting march effort to join the Australian Imperial Force (AIF). The gesture spoke for a nation that wished so emphatically to contribute to Commonwealth efforts in the First World War which was being fought across the glode they became known as the Coo-ees.
The Royal Australian Mint has struck a cupro-nickel uncirculated 20 cent featuring moving imagery of the Coo-ee Marchers.
