Following the Royal Australian Mint’s 20 cent uncirculated Magna Carta coin this limited edition silver rectangular antique finish $5 is individually hand crafted with a mintage of 10,000.
Celebrating the 800th Anniversary of the signing of the Magna Carta, the coin's reverse features an inscription from the 1297 Inspeximus issue of the Magna Carta. A representation of King John's great seal, which formalised the original 1215 Magna Carta also appears in the design.
The issue limit of 10,000 antique hand finished coins was not reached with the mintage declared at 4,518, each housed unsealed, in an official Royal Australian Mint hinged-lid case accompanied by a numbered certificate of authenticity and protected by a themed cardboard shipper.
