PNC 2015 Magna Carta
On 15 June 1215 in Runnymede Surrey King John placed a royal seal on one of the most important documents in human history. The Magna Carta (Great Charter) was a revolutionary declaration ensuring that any future rulers were also bound by laws. The justice system that we hold dear today with fair trials and juries owes its existence to this historical artefact.
The Royal Australian Mint and Australia Post together have issued this philatelic numismatic cover consisting of an uncirculated 20¢ and postage paid envelope postmarked 2 June 2015 Canberra ACT 2600.
